Dell will end support (EOS) of their TZ Series firewall TZ215 in 1 years time on 1st August 2020

The TZ215 router was last available to order 31st Jul 2015
The last date to order (LDO) 1 years support is this month ending 31st July 2019

All support from Dell will finally come to an end 1st August 2020

What does this mean for you?

Whilst your router / firewall will continue to work as originally designed & currently configured, the hardware warranty ends this month and the product support & updates from Dell are due to end soon too.

Microsoft will stop supporting Windows Vista on 11th April 2017

Please note that Microsoft extended support of Windows Vista will be ending on 11th April 2017, so you will no longer receive security updates and patches beyond this date.

Mainstream support has already ended 10th April 2012. We recommend planning in advance of this date to maximize the management of your IT investments and strategically plan for a successful IT future.

LogMeIn ending Support for Windows XP & Windows Server 2003 – 30th May 2016

As part of our commitment to keeping you informed, we want to let you know about two of the products we use to support our clients and in some cases which our clients may also use themselves;

LogMeIn Pro and LogMeIn Central

Following the lead of Microsoft, who ended support for Windows XP in April 2014 and for Windows Server 2003 in July 2015.

LogMeIn will be ending their support for their desktop client and host software installed on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 computers as of 30th May 2016.

Google Chrome ending support for Windows XP, Vista, and Mac OS X 10.8 in April 2016

Google have announced via their Chrome Blog that they will end support for Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Apple Mac OS X 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8 at the start of April 2016.

What does this mean for you?

Your browser will continue to work, however Google Chrome are going to stop providing updates and security fixes to their browser for users on older operating systems, which could leave you vulnerable to malicious content.

This means it’s probably a good time to think about updating to a supported and secure operating system.

Microsoft will stop supporting SQL Server 2005 on 12th April 2016

Please note that Microsoft extended support of SQL Server 2005 will be ending on 12th April 2016, so you will no longer receive security updates and patches.

Microsoft recommends upgrading to their latest SQL Server 2014 or their cloud based version Azure SQL Database.

Software running on SQL Server 2005 Express Edition can also be upgraded to SQL Server 2014 Express.
